| Hey TT.net, I need your collective wisdom. Issue: I have a leak from the rear main seal. It drips about a baseball sized spot over night. It runs down between the bellhousing and the oil pan. Troubleshooting I've already done: I realized this is a common leak, so I went ahead and pulled the trans. It looked like oil was dripping down the RMS and onto the ridge where the oil pan half-moon seal is. I replaced both with OEM. I put it all back together and drove it for a bit. Still leaked. I then researched crankcase pressure via bad PCVs. So I replaced the PCVs and all 5 hoses with OEM hoses with OEM units. I don't really have any other symptoms of excess blow-by gas such as popping dipstick. Compression on the engine is in spec. However this resulted in no change, the leak remained. So then I thought I might have gotten a defective seal or installed it improperly, so I removed the trans and replaced the seal again. Yet the leak remains. So I am out of ideas here. The car runs perfect otherwise. I am using Castrol Syntec 5W40 conventional oil. Any other things to try before I go crazy?
